Thanks to the South Bay Film Society and AMC Rolling Hills 20 for providing a physical location to feature our 1st Annual Celebration of Animated Film and Art, we showcased Dreams for a live audience. On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in honor of Autism Acceptance Month, we had not one but two full theaters, filled with adoring fans, eager to watch nine spectacular animation projects come to life!
Harbor Regional Center deserves high praise for supporting our mission, and both Mychal’s Café and ICAN (California Abilities Network) deserve a big shout-out for contributing the delicious food, beverages, and coffee cart, making the night extra-special. We acknowledge all our extraordinary community partners who see our vision and support our mission. Thank you!
Our nine film directors – Brian Menjivar, Michael Miro, Noemi Hernandez, Ramon “Ramen” Gonzalez, Joshua “JoJo” Jo, Jade Boyd, Tori Boyd, George Manukyan, and Kobe Aceves - kicked off the exhilarating evening by walking the red carpet, appeasing the paparazzi and their admiring fans. As everyone found their seats, Brainstorm's staff shared sentimental thoughts, followed by the lights lowering and the film rolling. About 45 minutes later, as the lights returned, the chatter of excitement exploded among the viewers sharing their enthusiastic thoughts with each other. The night culminated with tasty desserts and a long line of autograph seekers.
If you missed this event, we missed you!
