BP Staff Feature: Yoonji Park

Brainstorm Productions is thrilled to welcome new hire Yoonji Park, a 2025 graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation. Her combined skills, education, and work experience make for an excellent addition to our program as a Production Instructor. At SCAD, she pitched and directed a short film titled “A Gift for Mama” and contributed to senior thesis film “Marginalia.”

When asked about any advice Yoonji has for anyone seeking to be an animator, she answered with one key piece of guidance she received early on. Her first animation instructor taught the value in training her eye for recognizing art fundamentals in existing media. Yoonji added that “once you get used to spotting what you learn in other media, you’ll notice what to improve in your art as well.”

As a Production Instructor, some of Yoonji’s daily tasks include providing feedback to clients through Syncsketch, a visual collaborative platform that supports live drawovers and reviews, and through in-person conversation. She continues on to say, “It’s incredibly gratifying to work our way through a problem together and see their faces light up when they figure something out.”

Thank you, Yoonji Park, for joining the Brainstorm team as you contribute to the fundamental and technical skills of teaching animation. We’re excited to have you with us!

Highlights and links to Yoonji's work samples can be found on her portfolio website.
