During an exciting Zoom event this past November, Brainstorm Productions welcomed guest speaker, Jorge R. Gutierrez.
Mr. Gutierrez is an Emmy-awarding winning animator for his Nickelodeon passion project, “El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera.” Born in Mexico and raised in Tijuana, he was non-verbal until age five and diagnosed with Autism as an adult. Possessing his bachelor’s degree from the California Institute of the Arts as well as numerous well-known animation series on Cartoon Network, Kids’ WB, Disney, and Netflix, he has garnered industry respect and accolades as an animator, painter, and voice actor.
As Mr. Gutierrez discussed his film and cartoon successes with the captive audience, he also explained best practices for entering the animation industry, which is prized information for all who are part of the Brainstorm Productions community. Hearing from someone who has success and advice for those whose dreams are to follow a similar path is an exceptional opportunity.
